Kitikmeot Camp Solutions (KCS), part of Dexterra Group, is recruiting skilled camp staff for ongoing operations in Nunavut’s Back River Gold District and other Horizon North-managed remote camps across the territory. These positions operate on fly-in/fly-out rotations with covered travel from Edmonton, full camp accommodations, private rooms, meals, and access to Wi-Fi, laundry, and recreation facilities.
- Executive Chef – 28 days on / 14 days off
Leads culinary operations across large northern camps, overseeing menus, budgets, HACCP compliance, and kitchen teams under Horizon North standards. - Sous Chef – 28 days on / 14 days off
Supports the Executive Chef in menu planning, staff supervision, inventory management, and quality assurance in a high-volume remote lodge environment. - 1st Cook (OFA Level 3) – 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Prepares high-quality meals while maintaining advanced first aid readiness at Goose Lake camp; ensures kitchen safety and supports medic response when needed. - 1st Cook – $21/hr – 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Produces daily meal services to Horizon North standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with FoodSafe and HACCP in Arctic conditions. - Breakfast Cook – $21/hr – 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Delivers full hot breakfast service, buffet setup, and scratch cooking for large guest volumes while maintaining strict cleanliness and safety standards. - Baker – $21/hr – 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Produces breads, pastries, and desserts from scratch, supervises night shift staff, and maintains bakery operations to HACCP and FoodSafe standards. - Salad and Sandwich Maker – $19.50/hr – 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Prepares hot and cold sandwiches and assists in nightly bagged-lunch programs, ensuring freshness, quality, and food safety compliance. - Inventory Clerk – $25/hr – 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Manages warehouse inventory and commissary operations, tracks supply usage, and coordinates deliveries to support kitchen, maintenance, and housekeeping teams. - Maintenance Technician – $38/hr – 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on plumbing, gas, and electrical systems in camp infrastructure, ensuring safe and reliable operations. - Maintenance Technician – $38/hr – Back River Gold District – 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Specializes in commercial kitchen appliance repair, diagnostics, and electrical troubleshooting, ensuring uninterrupted food service and facility uptime.
