The Seabee Gold Mine, located northeast of La Ronge, Saskatchewan, is an underground mining operation owned by SSR Mining Inc. Operating since 1991, it is Saskatchewans only active gold mine, producing high-grade ore processed on-site at the Seabee mill. Accessible year-round by a 1,275-meter airstrip and via a winter ice road during colder months, the site ensures efficient transportation of personnel, equipment, and supplies. With proven and probable reserves of 343,000 ounces at an average grade of 5.17 grams per tonne, the mine continues to be a significant contributor to the provinces mining sector. SSR Mining focuses on resource expansion through exploration and upholds responsible mining practices, fostering collaboration with local and Indigenous communities.
