Thyssen Mining Construction of Canada is hiring for multiple fly-in/fly-out positions at an underground mine construction project in Northwest Ontario. Operating on a 2 weeks in, 2 weeks out schedule, these roles offer full camp accommodations and are suited to experienced underground mining professionals. Opportunities are available in equipment operations, mechanical trades, blasting, and support services, all vital to successful underground development.

Open positions include:

  1. Bolter Operator
    Responsible for installing ground support systems using underground bolting equipment to ensure mine stability and safety.
  2. Scoop Operator
    Operates scoop trams to load and transport ore and waste material within underground workings.
  3. Journeyperson Mechanic
    Performs diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of underground mining equipment to optimize performance and uptime.
  4. Haul Truck Operator
    Operates underground haul trucks to move ore and materials efficiently throughout the site.
  5. Nipper, Boom Truck, and Lube Truck Operators
    Support logistics and mobile equipment servicing through material handling, lubrication, and supply delivery roles.
  6. Water Truck Operator
    Provides dust control and surface management by safely operating water trucks in confined underground spaces.
  7. Underground Blaster
    Conducts safe and controlled blasting operations in support of mine development cycles.
  8. Blaster Helper
    Assists certified blasters in preparing and executing underground blast patterns and post-blast clean-up.
  9. Surface Labourer
    Supports site maintenance and logistics by performing material handling, cleaning, and general physical labour.
