Thyssen Mining Construction of Canada is hiring Blaster Helpers for an underground mine construction project in Northwest Ontario. This fly-in/fly-out opportunity follows a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off schedule and includes full camp accommodations. Responsibilities

Blaster Helpers assist certified blasters in safely preparing and executing underground blasting operations.

  • Support the setup and loading of explosives
  • Transport materials and tools to blast sites
  • Ensure proper signage and barricades are in place
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas
  • Assist with post-blast cleanup and inspection

Requirements

To be considered for the Blaster Helper role, applicants must meet the following:

  • Prior underground mining experience
  • Ontario Common Core is an asset
  • Physically fit for underground work
  • Available for varied schedules
  • Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
