Barminco Canada, part of the global Perenti Group, is actively recruiting for multiple positions at the Hemlo Gold Mine near Marathon, Ontario. These drive-in/drive-out (DIDO) or fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) roles operate on a 14 days on, 14 days off schedule with day and night rotations. Open roles include:
- Underground Trainer
Delivers Common Core and equipment-specific training, supports safe practices, and maintains training records across the Hemlo site. - Grader Operator
Maintains underground roads and ramps, operating CAT equipment and supporting mine infrastructure work. - Underground Heavy-Duty Mechanic
Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on CAT and Sandvik mobile underground equipment. - Jumbo Offsider
Assists drill operators with material handling, ground support, and sample collection in physically demanding underground environments. - Development Charge-Up Operator
Conducts safe blasting operations using ANFO and other systems, leading headings and supporting mine development cycles. - Development Shift Supervisor
Leads underground mining crews in rapid development cycles with jumbo operations, ensuring alignment with production targets and safety standards.
