Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. is the Canadian operating arm of Barminco, one of the world's largest hard-rock underground mining services companies and a key brand within the Perenti Group, an ASX-listed diversified global mining services company originating in Australia. With more than three decades of experience, Barminco provides underground contract mining services — including mine development, production mining, haulage, ground support, shaft sinking, raise boring, cable bolting, and equipment supply and maintenance — to mine owners across Australia, Africa, and North America. In Canada, Barminco entered the market in 2020 as the underground contractor at Barrick Gold's Hemlo gold mine in the Marathon district of northwestern Ontario, roughly 350 kilometres east of Thunder Bay, and it also provides underground mining services at the Red Chris mine in northern British Columbia. As part of Perenti, Barminco operates one of the largest underground mining equipment fleets in the world and employs thousands of people across more than twenty projects internationally, mobilizing skilled crews and modern fleets to deliver rapid, high-volume underground development and production for its mining clients.
