This role operates on a 14/14 schedule and is open to Canadian residents. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on CAT and Sandvik underground mobile equipment. The Heavy-Duty Mechanic will service and maintain underground mining equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on underground CAT and Sandvik mobile equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and promote a safe work environment.
- Identify, document, and request required parts and materials.
- Perform duties efficiently and maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Work in alignment with team objectives and report to the Maintenance Foreman.
Requirements
Applicants must hold trade certifications and possess significant underground experience in equipment maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Ontario Trades License (421A, 310T, or 310S) or Interprovincial Red Seal certification required.
- Minimum 5 years of underground mining mechanic experience.
- Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and share knowledge with others.
