Worksite/Project

Goose Project

The Goose Gold Project is a high-grade gold mine development in Nunavut’s Back River District, currently under construction by B2Gold Corporation. Acquired in 2022 through B2Gold’s acquisition of Sabina Gold & Silver Corp., the Goose site is positioned to become one of Canada’s next significant gold producers. Situated approximately 520 km northeast of Yellowknife, the Goose Project is designed as a fly-in/fly-out operation with a seasonal winter road for bulk supplies and a permanent airstrip for personnel transport. The project includes a centralized processing facility, open-pit and underground mining infrastructure, and a fully equipped camp with rotational accommodations. The project is creating hundreds of jobs in construction, trades, camp services, logistics, environmental monitoring, and mine operations. As Nunavut’s mining sector continues to grow, the Goose Gold Project offers long-term employment, community development, and high-grade resource development in one of Canada’s most promising gold belts.
