Responsibilities

The Senior Operator, Multi Equipment, will perform advanced equipment operation to support earthworks and mining activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operate bulldozers, excavators with attachments, articulating haul trucks, and skid steers.
  • Perform earthworks duties including building grade, excavation, ditching, sloping, and detailed backfill.
  • Read and follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications for accurate execution.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
  • Report malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents promptly to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve project objectives.
  • Adhere to B2Gold Nunavut’s health, safety, and environmental policies.

Requirements

Applicants should bring proven heavy equipment experience and the ability to work in challenging environments. Requirements include:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience operating Cat 336/349 excavators, Cat D6/D7 dozers, and articulating haul trucks.
  • Experience in civil earthworks considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working in remote Arctic environments desirable.
  • Prior professional experience working with Indigenous groups preferred.
