Responsibilities
The Senior Operator, Multi Equipment, will perform advanced equipment operation to support earthworks and mining activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Operate bulldozers, excavators with attachments, articulating haul trucks, and skid steers.
- Perform earthworks duties including building grade, excavation, ditching, sloping, and detailed backfill.
- Read and follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications for accurate execution.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
- Report malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents promptly to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve project objectives.
- Adhere to B2Gold Nunavut’s health, safety, and environmental policies.
Requirements
Applicants should bring proven heavy equipment experience and the ability to work in challenging environments. Requirements include:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience operating Cat 336/349 excavators, Cat D6/D7 dozers, and articulating haul trucks.
- Experience in civil earthworks considered an asset.
- Previous experience working in remote Arctic environments desirable.
- Prior professional experience working with Indigenous groups preferred.

The Goose Gold Project is a high-grade gold mine development in Nunavut’s Back River District, currently under construction by B2Gold Corporation.
