Underground Surveyor - Goose Project - 3X3 (3 Weeks On, 3 Weeks Off) - FIFO

This fly-in/fly-out position runs on a 3x3 rotation and includes full camp accommodations and travel. The role is responsible for leading underground survey operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting technical and operational teams.

The Senior Surveyor leads underground survey activities and ensures high-precision data for mine planning, compliance, and operational success.
- Lead daily tasks of UG surveyors and maintain control systems
- Manage borehole, DDH, geotechnical, and geological surveys
- Install and monitor underground instrumentation
- Conduct underground drone surveys
- Ensure SOP and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with open pit and civil survey teams
- Perform volume calculations and stope reconciliation
- Maintain underground survey records and files
- Support SOP development and operational requests
- Maintain and order survey equipment as needed
Requirements
Candidates must have extensive underground survey experience, technical expertise, and ability to work in Arctic conditions.
- 5+ years UG surveying experience in remote mines
- Post-secondary diploma in geomatics, surveying, or equivalent
- Proficient in Deswik; experience with Leica, Trimble, AutoCAD, etc. is an asset
- Advanced RPAS Pilot License required
- Experience with UG drone and bore tracking tools (asset)
- Exposure to Alimak, Raisebore, and underground services (preferred)
- Comfortable working in sub-zero underground and surface environments
