IAMGOLD Côté Gold Project
The Côté Gold Project is being developed near Gogama, Ontario in collaboration with the Mattagami First Nation, Flying Post First Nation, and Métis Nation of Ontario, Region 3. This partnership highlights IAMGOLD’s commitment to meaningful engagement and mutually beneficial relationships with Indigenous communities. By working closely with these First Nations and the Métis Nation, IAMGOLD aims to ensure that the project respects and incorporates their traditional knowledge, cultural values, and economic aspirations.
The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd., with IAMGOLD operating the mine.
