Meliadine Gold Mine is a major gold mining operation near Rankin Inlet, Nunavut.

Located approximately 25 kilometers north of Rankin Inlet in Nunavut, Canada, the Meliadine Gold Mine is a significant operation owned by Agnico Eagle Mines Limited. Since achieving commercial production in May 2019, the mine has been a major contributor to Canada's gold output. In 2024, Meliadine is projected to reach a milestone of producing two million ounces of gold, underscoring its importance in the mining sector. The mine employs approximately 1,500 individuals, with around 700 personnel on-site at any given time, making it a significant employer in the region. Agnico Eagle has been exploring potential expansions to extend the mine's life and increase annual production, reflecting its commitment to sustainable development and community engagement.
