Agnico Eagle Mines

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is a Canadian-based senior gold producer, publicly traded on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges under the ticker AEM and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Founded in 1957, the company is Canada's largest mining company and one of the largest gold producers in the world, with operating mines across Canada, Australia, Finland, and Mexico, and exploration activities in several additional regions. Agnico Eagle is principally engaged in the production and sale of gold, along with related exploration and mine development, and also produces silver, zinc, and copper as by-products. In Canada, its operations include the LaRonde, Canadian Malartic, and Goldex mines in Quebec, the Detour Lake and Macassa mines in Ontario, and the Meadowbank and Meliadine mines in Nunavut, several of which are remote, fly-in fly-out sites in the northern regions of the country. The company expanded significantly through its 2022 merger with Kirkland Lake Gold, which added the Detour Lake and Macassa mines, and it continues to advance a pipeline of development and exploration projects across its operating regions.
