The Island Gold Mine, located near Dubreuilville, Ontario, is a high-grade, low-cost underground gold mining operation owned and operated by Alamos Gold Inc. Since its acquisition in 2017, the mine has significantly expanded its mineral reserves and resources, supporting multiple expansions. Currently, the mine operates at a mining and milling rate of 1,200 tonnes per day (tpd). In 2022, Alamos announced the Phase 3+ Expansion, which includes sinking a shaft and doubling throughput rates to 2,400 tpd by 2026, aiming to increase gold production at substantially lower costs. Ongoing exploration continues to identify high-grade mineralization, further enhancing the mine's potential.
