The SSR Seabee Gold Mine is a high-grade underground gold mining operation located in the northern Saskatchewan. The Seabee mine has been in operation since 1991 and has produced more than 2 million ounces of gold to date. The mine has a proven and probable reserve of over 1 million ounces of gold and a mineral resource of over 2 million ounces.
The mine is currently owned and operated by SSR Mining Inc., a Canadian-based precious metals producer with assets and operations in the Americas and Turkey.
To access the SSR Seabee Gold Mine, one must use a fixed-wing aircraft to land on the property’s airstrip. The transportation of equipment and large supplies to the mine site is accomplished through a winter ice road that spans 60 kilometers and is usually available for use from January to March.
