It is a conventional truck-shovel open-pit copper and gold mine. Mount Milligan Mine has an estimated mine life of long 22 years. The company is constructing a secondary crushing unit which will be completed in third quarter of 2016.

Open Mining Jobs Vacancies

All the following mining jobs are located in Mount Milligan, British Columbia.

Technician (Mine Operations) – As a technician, you responsibility is to assist the mining department. At least 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator such as grader, loader, dozer, excavator, or production truck needed. Valid drivers license required. This is a camp based position. Transportation to and out from mining camp will be provided by the company. The schedule will be rotating days and nights: 7 days on with 7 days’ rest and 12-hour working shifts.

Mechanical Engineer (Mill Reliability) – The Reliability Engineer will be working with the mill operations and maintenance teams to enhance the availability and effectiveness of the mill assets. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required along with minimum 2 years of experience in mining industry. This is a camp based position. Transportation to and out from mining camp will be provided by the company. The schedule will be 7 days on with 7 days’ rest and 12-hour working shifts.

Senior Engineer (Tailings Dam) – As a senior engineer in tailing dam, you will be responsible for providing direction and guidance for construction scheduling, updating deposition modeling, updating water balance, and maintaining QA/QC programs. A bachelors degree in mining, civil, or geotechnical is a must. Minimum 7-10 years experience required. This is a camp based position. Transportation to and out from mining camp will be provided by the company. The schedule will be 4 days on with 3 days’ rest.

Supervisor (Crushing Mill Maintenance) – The Mill Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Mill Maintenance and Welding Technicians. 5 years of journeyman experience plus 3 years supervisory experience in a mining setting is preferred. You must have 3+ years experience in a large scale crushing operation or mill with crushing circuit. You must also have current British Columbia Supervisor Certification or ability to obtain one. This is a camp based position. Transportation to and out from mining camp will be provided by the company. The schedule will be rotating days and nights: 7 days on with 7 days’ rest and 12-hour working shifts.

Supervisor (General Mill Maintenance) – Same as above.
