IAMGOLD is hiring a Welder - Mill Maintenance for its Côté Gold Mine located near Gogama, Ontario. This position supports the safe and reliable operation of mining and milling equipment through expert welding and fabrication. Working in a collaborative maintenance team, the welder performs equipment repairs, structural enhancements, and preventive maintenance. The role is based at a remote open-pit site with camp accommodations provided.

Responsibilities
The Welder will ensure safe, high-quality fabrication and maintenance of mill and mobile equipment.
- Conduct structural welding repairs on crushers, conveyors, and mill components.
- Fabricate metal enhancements for structural reinforcement and equipment upgrades.
- Perform field welding repairs under safety and quality protocols.
- Inspect and repair worn parts including piping and chutes.
- Apply SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and oxy-acetylene cutting techniques.
- Document all work, inspections, and repairs accurately.
- Support Millwrights with mechanical issue diagnosis and repair tasks.
Requirements
Applicants must bring significant welding experience in mining or industrial environments.
- Provincial trades certificate or equivalent (CWB preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and high-pressure structural welding.
- Capable of welding in various positions and working at heights.
- Experience in open-pit or mineral processing is an asset.
- Physically fit with ability to lift 50 lbs and work in field conditions.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license required.

Côté Gold Mine is a state-of-the-art open-pit gold mining operation located near Gogama in northeastern Ontario, Canada.
