Founded in 1990, the company employs several thousand people and operates gold mines in North America and West Africa. Located roughly 125 kilometres southwest of Timmins near Gogama, Côté Gold reached commercial production in 2024 and is the first gold mine in North America designed and built for a fully autonomous haulage fleet, running self-driving haul trucks and drills managed from a central integrated operations centre. IAMGOLD also holds a portfolio of exploration and development projects in high-potential mining districts, including the large-scale Nelligan Mining Complex in Quebec.
