Procurement Officer - Seabee Gold Mine - Fly In/Out - 4x3 Rotations
SSR Mining Inc. is hiring a Procurement Officer for its Seabee Gold Operation, located approximately 500km northeast of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This underground gold mining facility offers a fly-in, fly-out work arrangement with camp accommodations. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, services, and labor to support site operations, managing vendor contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The role also involves demand planning, contract negotiations, and maintaining efficient procurement processes. The work schedule follows a four-day-on, three-day-off rotation with flights provided from Saskatoon, Prince Albert, or La Ronge.

Responsibilities
The Procurement Officer will oversee sourcing and contract management to support site operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Source and procure materials, equipment, services, and labor.
- Manage vendor pre-qualification and categorization.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for operational expenditures.
- Support budget planning for capital projects and operational services.
- Conduct RFx processes, including bid evaluation and contract negotiations.
- Coordinate Master Goods and Service Agreements with legal and internal teams.
- Manage requisitions, purchase orders, and service contracts in SAP.
- Ensure compliance with SSR Mining policies and procurement standards.
- Oversee contract payouts, resolve claims, and manage disputes with vendors.
- Track and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Reconcile invoicing issues and ensure efficiency in the procure-to-pay process.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to address inventory concerns.
- Coach and mentor supply chain team members in best procurement practices.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, or a related field.
- Five to eight years of experience in supply chain management or procurement.
- Certified Supply Chain Management designation (SCMP) is an asset.
- Experience using SAP ERP, preferably FIORI app tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, MS Teams).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience handling contract negotiations and vendor management.
