Responsibilities
Mine Equipment Operators are responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and cleaning of mining equipment to support efficient production.
- Operate equipment including Cat 6060 Electric Shovel, Cat 18M Grader, Cat 395 and 6015 Excavators, CAT 777 Sand and Water Truck, and perform pit services.
- Maintain equipment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Clean and lubricate equipment regularly and perform safety checks.
- Position equipment properly before operation.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment faults.
- Commit to continuous learning and skill improvement.
- Utilize MineStar high-precision GPS system to enhance autonomous haulage and drilling.
- Collaborate with team members to meet shift goals and mentor new operators.
- Maintain accurate equipment and shift logs; communicate deficiencies for follow-up.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams supporting community and environmental goals.
Requirements
Applicants must hold minimum education and valid licenses with basic equipment operation experience.
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months heavy equipment operation experience.
- Equipment maintenance experience considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Heavy equipment operator training considered an asset.

Côté Gold Mine is a state-of-the-art open-pit gold mining operation located near Gogama in northeastern Ontario, Canada.
