IAMGOLD is seeking a Coordinator, Mill Operations to support regulatory compliance and operational efficiency at the Côté Gold Mine, an open-pit gold mine near Gogama, Ontario. This position involves managing lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, hot work permitting, and shutdown protocols while promoting safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. The Coordinator will manage permitting systems and ensure compliance within mill operations.
- Develop and maintain LOTO, confined space, and hot work procedures.
- Monitor compliance with provincial/federal safety regulations.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and update documentation.
- Support shutdowns and maintain permit logs and registers.
- Track and calibrate gas detectors and LOTO equipment inventory.
- Lead and support health, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor team members and contribute to operational planning meetings.
- Maintain effective communication and accurate shift crossovers.
Requirements
Candidates should have strong mill operations, permitting, and compliance experience.
- College diploma or university degree in a related field.
- 8+ years of related work experience.
- 5+ years of technical/mechanical experience preferred.
- Experience with contractor management and maintenance systems (Oracle) is a plus.
- Knowledge of gold milling and Conformit LOTO systems preferred.
- Red Seal Electrician or Ministry Supervisor Training considered assets.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and LOTO systems.

Côté Gold Mine is a state-of-the-art open-pit gold mining operation located near Gogama in northeastern Ontario, Canada.
