Responsibilities
Labourers will assist with general maintenance and operations under supervision, supporting various site activities at McKay River.
- Run errands and assist other workers
- Operate basic cleaning equipment
- Perform snow removal, vegetation control, painting
- Housekeeping and road/grounds maintenance
- Load/unload materials and empty trash bins
- May operate skid steer or forklift
- Comply with all safety protocols
Requirements
Candidates must meet specific safety and physical requirements to be eligible for this role.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid H2S Alive, CSTS, and OSSA or CSO/BSO
- Class 5 driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying conditions
- Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking

Located approximately 60 kilometers northwest of Fort McMurray, Alberta, the MacKay River facility is Suncor Energy's first in situ oil sands operation. Utilizing Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) technology, the facility was initially designed to produce 30,000 barrels per day (bpd) of bitumen. Through the integration of advanced technologies, production capacity has been expanded to 38,000 bpd. The extracted bitumen is transported via pipeline to Suncor's Base Plant for further processing or blending.
