Heavy Duty Mechanic - Seabee Gold Mine - 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off - FIFO
SSR Mining is seeking a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic for its Seabee Gold Operation, a fly-in/fly-out underground gold mine located approximately 500 kilometers northeast of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This full-time camp-based position follows a 2-weeks-on, 2-weeks-off rotation with 12-hour shifts. Flights are provided from Saskatoon, Prince Albert, or La Ronge. The successful candidate will service and repair mining equipment for both surface and underground operations, ensuring mechanical reliability and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities
The Heavy Duty Mechanic will maintain and repair mining equipment to ensure reliable operations at both surface and underground levels.
- Service, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment
- Diagnose faults and determine extent of necessary repairs
- Read and interpret technical manuals and work orders
- Replace or repair defective parts and test systems for proper performance
- Perform lubrication and other preventive maintenance
- Support and train junior mechanics
- Assist in forecasting and improvement planning
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Interprovincial Heavy Duty trade certification (technical diploma may be considered)
- 2-3 years of experience with heavy-duty equipment
- Alimak experience is an asset
- Ability to work in teams and handle urgent tasks
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
