The Temporary Labourer in Site Services is responsible for supporting daily site operations through manual labour and maintenance tasks, including:
- Removing trash and disposing of it at waste management facilities.
- Unloading planes and incoming freight efficiently and safely.
- Performing daily surface pump inspections and checks.
- Maintaining and insulating tailings and reclaim lines.
- Completing assigned projects within set timelines.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensuring all work complies with safety and efficiency standards.
- Performing additional duties as required to support site operations.
Requirements
Successful candidates should meet the following qualifications and skills:
- Completed Grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Previous related experience, preferably in a remote fly-in camp environment.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience using electric and air power tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Mental awareness to safely work around potential hazards.
- Ability to work under extreme cold or heat conditions.
- Knowledge and use of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) information.
