Nasittuq Corporation is hiring General Labourers for casual, on-call summer roles supporting operations at remote radar sites across Northern Canada. Workers will assist with outdoor work and seasonal projects, including sealift operations. This role offers flexible scheduling and travel opportunities to Arctic environments. Accommodations and transport are provided. Ideal candidates are physically fit, safety-minded, and capable of traveling by helicopter or small aircraft in remote conditions. Preference is given to Land Claim Beneficiaries of the Nunavut, Inuvialuit, and Nunatsiavut Land Claim Agreements.

Responsibilities

General Labourers provide hands-on support for outdoor tasks and operations at remote radar sites:

  • Perform varied duties at northern sites as assigned
  • Support teams during seasonal or project-specific deployments
  • Assist with sealift and logistics operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and site procedures
  • Communicate effectively to support team safety and awareness
  • Adapt to and operate in Arctic weather and terrain

Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate physical readiness, safety awareness, and adaptability for remote work:

  • Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent
  • Land Claim Beneficiaries from Nunavut, Inuvialuit, or Nunatsiavut regions prioritized
  • Familiarity with Northern wildlife risks considered an asset
  • Ability to travel via helicopter and small aircraft
  • Physically able to traverse rugged Arctic terrain
  • Professionalism, discretion, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective team communication in diverse settings
