IAMGOLD is hiring a Fuel and Lube Technician for its Côté Gold Mine near Gogama, Ontario. This role is essential in maintaining safe, reliable fuel and lubrication systems for heavy mining equipment. The technician is responsible for fueling, inspecting, lubricating, and assisting in preventive maintenance across the mine site. The position supports operational reliability and works closely with maintenance and control teams. Camp accommodations are provided.

Responsibilities

The technician ensures safe fuel and lubrication processes for mining equipment.

  • Fuel equipment according to procedures and perform LOTO prior to service.
  • Conduct inspections for leaks, overheating, wear, and abnormal conditions.
  • Take oil samples and maintain proper fluid levels in service trucks.
  • Lubricate units and maintain grease tanks and automatic systems.
  • Perform Pre-PMs and assist with scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Follow production schedules to sequence equipment fueling effectively.
  • Inspect and report issues with lubrication lines and injectors.
  • Maintain contamination control standards and support clean fuel programs.
  • Protect the environment by managing and reporting spills.

Requirements

Candidates should have basic equipment maintenance experience and a clean driving record.

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Class G driver's license required; clean driving record.
  • 6+ months of commercial vehicle operation or similar experience.
  • Maintenance experience considered an asset.
  • Additional certifications (Lubrication Level 1, Oil Sampling, IR, etc.) are assets.

Côté Gold Mine is a state-of-the-art open-pit gold mining operation located near Gogama in northeastern Ontario, Canada. Jointly owned by IAMGOLD Corporation (60.3%) and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. (39.7%), the mine achieved its first gold pour and commenced commercial production in 2024 . With an anticipated mine life of approximately 18 years, Côté Gold is poised to become one of Canada's largest gold producers. The mine boasts proven and probable reserves of 234.6 million tonnes grading 1.01 g/t gold, containing 7.6 million ounces of gold.
