SSR Mining Inc. is seeking an Emergency Response Specialist for its Seabee Gold Operation, located approximately 500km northeast of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This underground gold mining facility operates within the boreal forest and offers a fly-in, fly-out work arrangement with camp accommodations. The role involves assessing and improving emergency preparedness programs for both underground and surface operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The work schedule follows a one-week-on, one-week-off rotation with flights provided from Saskatoon, Prince Albert, or La Ronge.

Responsibilities
The Emergency Response Specialist will assess and improve emergency preparedness programs, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluate emergency preparedness programs for underground and surface response.
- Conduct gap analysis based on SSRM standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Develop and coordinate training opportunities for all response levels.
- Create action plans to track and complete necessary improvements.
- Revise emergency preparedness documentation for compliance.
- Collaborate with the Safety department to meet training requirements.
- Ensure maintenance and coordination of emergency response equipment.
- Compile daily reports and cross-shift notes for continuity.
Requirements

- Experience in emergency preparedness.
- Underground mine rescue experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in an underground mining environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
