Electrician - Côté Gold Mine - General Work Rotation - CAMP
IAMGOLD is hiring an Electrician for its Côté Gold Mine near Gogama, Ontario. This open-pit mine, operated in partnership with Sumitomo Metal Mining and local First Nations communities, offers a technically demanding environment supporting both mining and milling operations. The Electrician is responsible for maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting power and control systems across the site while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Camp accommodations are provided.

Responsibilities
The Electrician ensures reliable, safe operation of electrical systems across mine and milling infrastructure.
- Install, test, maintain, and repair motors, drives, switchgears, and control systems.
- Work with MV/HV systems, breakers, batteries, and hydraulic/pneumatic control circuits.
- Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, schematics, and CSA/Electrical Code standards.
- Install and repair cables, receptacles, panels, feeders, trays, fiber optics, and coaxial assemblies.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain records in Oracle eAM.
- Complete work orders, perform diagnostic testing, and ensure safe, clean work conditions.
- Identify and resolve electrical failures proactively, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Requirements
Candidates should have licensed electrical experience in industrial or mining environments.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ontario Provincial or Interprovincial Electrical License preferred (apprentices considered).
- At least 4 years of related work experience.
- Experience with MV/HV systems and gold or mineral processing is an asset.
- Proficiency with maintenance software and computer applications.
- Valid Ontario driver's license.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently and under pressure.

Côté Gold Mine is a state-of-the-art open-pit gold mining operation located near Gogama in northeastern Ontario, Canada.
