Agnico Eagle Mines is hiring a Coordinator - Underground Electrical for its Meliadine operation near Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. This full-time, salaried fly-in/fly-out position operates on a 14/14 schedule with flights provided from the Kivalliq region, Mirabel, and Val-d'Or. Camp accommodations are included. The role involves coordinating underground electrical and instrumentation maintenance and development tasks in collaboration with departments such as Geology, Engineering, and Mine Operations. The successful candidate will support shutdown planning, asset management, contractor supervision, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Coordinator - Underground Electrical will manage and coordinate underground electrical activities across departments.
- Coordinate and plan weekly underground electrical and instrumentation work.
- Support mid- and long-term planning, including LOM plans and parts procurement.
- Plan and execute work related to electrical shutdowns.
- Conduct field visits for work evaluation and preparation.
- Collaborate with planners, engineers, and other departments to drive improvements.
- Supervise external contractors and support special project execution.
- Implement asset management and maintenance strategies.
- Ensure compliance with AEM engineering standards and the Nunavut Mine Act.
- Act as delegate for the Electrical General Supervisor when required.
Requirements
Qualified candidates will bring technical knowledge, leadership skills, and underground mining experience.
- Electrical Engineer degree, College Diploma, or extensive related experience.
- 10+ years in underground mining electrical work.
- Strong understanding of underground mining operations and development cycles.
- Leadership, coaching, and supervisory experience preferred.
- Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort working in multicultural teams and remote environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent English required; must pass a language assessment.
