Drill Maintenance Technician - Côté Gold Mine - Rotational Work Schedule
IAMGOLD is hiring a Drill Maintenance Technician at the Côté Gold Mine near Gogama, Ontario. This open-pit mine, operated by IAMGOLD in joint venture with Sumitomo Metal Mining, is supported by strong Indigenous partnerships and modern infrastructure. The technician will perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on Epiroc's autonomous drill fleet (Pit Viper 231s, D65s, and DM30s). The role focuses on equipment reliability, safety, and documentation while supporting continuous improvement and collaborative operations. Camp accommodations are provided.

Responsibilities
The technician ensures the safe and reliable maintenance of autonomous drill equipment.
- Conduct inspections and identify issues in drill rigs and components.
- Perform regular maintenance, component replacements, and calibrations.
- Repair mechanical systems and restore equipment to spec.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and proactively prevent failures.
- Support safety, compliance, and documentation processes.
- Contribute to developing procedures and risk controls.
- Participate in team operations, mentor new members, and report deficiencies.
- Log inspections, repairs, and parts replacements accurately.
Requirements
Candidates must have deep mechanical experience and a background in mining drill maintenance.
- College diploma in heavy equipment or related field.
- Certificate of Qualification or Red Seal certification an asset.
- Minimum 5 years experience maintaining mining drilling equipment.
- Experience with Epiroc drills (Pit Viper 231s, D65s) is an asset.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and compressed air systems.
- Familiarity with autonomous systems and rotary drive units preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Understanding of Ontario Mining Act, OH&S programs, and maintenance software.

Côté Gold Mine
Côté Gold Mine is a state-of-the-art open-pit gold mining operation located near Gogama in northeastern Ontario, Canada. Jointly owned by IAMGOLD Corporation (60.3%) and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. (39.7%), the mine achieved its first gold pour and commenced commercial production in 2024 . With an anticipated mine life of approximately 18 years, Côté Gold is poised to become one of Canada's largest gold producers. The mine boasts proven and probable reserves of 234.6 million tonnes grading 1.01 g/t gold, containing 7.6 million ounces of gold. Including the adjacent Gosselin deposit, the combined measured and indicated resources total 16.5 million ounces, with an additional 4.2 million ounces in inferred resources.
