SSR Mining Inc. is hiring a Conventional/Mechanized Bolter for its Seabee Gold Operation, located approximately 500km northeast of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This underground gold mining facility offers a fly-in, fly-out work arrangement with camp accommodations. The Bolter is responsible for operating underground mining equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring ground stability by installing various types of support systems. The role involves manual and mechanized bolting, inspecting underground headings, scaling loose material, and installing mine utilities. The work schedule follows a two-week-on, two-week-off rotation with flights provided from Saskatoon, Prince Albert, or La Ronge.

Responsibilities
The Bolter will ensure underground ground stability through safe and efficient bolting operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and report unsafe conditions in underground headings.
- Safely operate manual bolting tools (jackleg/stoper) and mechanized bolting machines.
- Install ground support systems using Epiroc and Sandvik bolters.
- Secure mine utilities such as vent tubing, piping, and fans using lifting equipment.
- Install additional support components such as cable bolts and dry shotcrete.
- Perform loading and blasting operations (blasting ticket considered an asset).
- Follow shift supervisor directives to coordinate daily ground control activities.
- Participate in daily toolbox safety meetings.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience with jack leg and stoper with scissor lifts in an underground hard rock mine.
- Experience operating Epiroc and Sandvik bolters is an asset.
- Knowledge of proper ground support installation procedures.
- Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.
- Strong comprehension of written and verbal instructions.
- Positive and proactive attitude towards safety.
