The C�t� Gold Project is being developed near Gogama, Ontario in collaboration with the Mattagami First Nation, Flying Post First Nation, and M�tis Nation of Ontario, Region 3. This partnership highlights IAMGOLD's commitment to meaningful engagement and mutually beneficial relationships with Indigenous communities. By working closely with these First Nations and the M�tis Nation, IAMGOLD aims to ensure that the project respects and incorporates their traditional knowledge, cultural values, and economic aspirations.
The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd., with IAMGOLD operating the mine.
