Highland Valley Copper Mine is one of Canada's largest copper mines.

Highland Valley Copper (HVC), located near Logan Lake in British Columbia, is Canadas largest open-pit copper and molybdenum mine, fully owned by Teck Resources. Since its inception, HVC has been a major contributor to global copper production, extracting ore from the Valley, Lornex, and Highmont pits using advanced grinding and flotation techniques. In 2022, the mine produced 119,000 tonnes of copper and 1.1 million pounds of molybdenum. Teck is currently working on the Highland Valley Copper Mine Life Extension Project to extend operations and meet the increasing demand for copper in a low-carbon future.
