Responsibilities
The Utility Truck Operator will ensure the safe operation and maintenance of utility vehicles supporting site operations:
- Operate utility trucks, water trucks, service trucks, and light vehicles
- Deliver fresh water to treatment plants, buildings, and underground access points
- Control dust on roads and airstrip to support safety
- Perform septic tank pumping, cleaning, and maintenance
- Assist with loading/unloading materials as needed
- Empty and clean waste containers, ensuring site cleanliness
- Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of utility vehicles
- Maintain accurate logs for fuel usage, hours, and tasks completed
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following qualifications to succeed in this remote operations role:
- At least 1 year of experience operating utility or heavy vehicles in an industrial environment
- Mining experience preferred
- Completion of primary school required; high school diploma preferred
- Class 3 driver's license with airbrake endorsement preferred
- Ability to work in extreme climates (from -70 C to +30 C)
