Agnico Eagle Mines is seeking a General Supervisor - Underground Mine for its Hope Bay Project located in Nunavut's Kitikmeot Region. Operating on a 21/21 fly-in/fly-out rotation with camp accommodations and charter flights from Edmonton and Yellowknife, this full-time, salaried role provides strategic oversight of mine development, production, and underground construction. Reporting to the Manager - Mining, the General Supervisor will lead mine operations with a strong focus on safety, productivity, cost control, and team performance. The role is integral to preparing and implementing the operational readiness plan, analyzing key performance data, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration for efficient mine execution and ramp-up to full production.

The Underground Mine Supervisor leads and directs mining operations to ensure safe, productive, and cost-effective outcomes at the Hope Bay Project.
- Lead underground mine development, production, and construction
- Plan and coordinate daily operations and safety procedures
- Track KPIs for cost, health and safety, and productivity

Requirements
Candidates must possess senior-level mining experience and demonstrate a strong ability to manage underground teams and operations in remote locations.
- College diploma in Mineral Technology or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of underground mining experience with supervisory responsibilities
- Eligible for Level 2 Supervisor Certification and First Aid Certificate
- Strong understanding of underground mining practices and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with tech innovation and automation in mining is a plus
