The Site Administrator role is based at the CNRL Horizon Bussing project in Fort McMurray, Alberta, offering a 7/7 work rotation. The Site Administrator is responsible for a wide range of administrative duties essential for the smooth operation of the CNRL Horizon Bussing site.
- Perform daily administrative tasks including maintaining files and processing paperwork
- Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and financial documents
- Compile and enter employee time, production, and LEM data
- Manage new employee and equipment information and costs
- Coordinate team shift schedules, travel, and camp accommodations
- Assist Site Manager/Superintendent as needed
- Handle Change Notices, Change Orders, and Requests for Information documentation
- Maintain contract correspondence, meeting minutes, and office supplies
- Manage payroll and project accounting databases
- Track and report daily timesheets
- Support procurement and billing processes for materials and subcontractors
- Perform additional duties as required by contract needs
Requirements
Candidates must have strong administrative experience and relevant qualifications to succeed in this site-based role.
- Experience with on-site administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with LEMS, Payroll, Billing, and Invoicing
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean 5-year Driver's Abstract
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification

Horizon Oil Sands Project
The Horizon Oil Sands Project, located approximately 70 kilometers north of Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada, is a significant oil sands mining and upgrading operation owned and operated by Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL). The project encompasses surface mining of bitumen, extraction, and on-site upgrading to produce high-quality synthetic crude oil (SCO). Since its inception, Horizon has undergone several expansions to enhance production capacity and operational efficiency. As of 2024, the mine produces approximately 250,000 barrels per day of SCO, with plans to increase capacity by an additional 195,000 barrels per day. The project is a key contributor to Albertas energy sector and plays an important role in Canadas oil production.
