Responsibilities
The Underground Tele-Remote Scoop Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining remote-controlled LHDs while supporting a variety of underground production mining tasks.
- Operate tele-remote scoop systems for mucking, backfilling, and production support
- Conduct pre/post-operation inspections and report any equipment issues
- Read and follow engineering prints and mine layouts
- Collaborate with Underground Supervisors and cross-functional teams
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
- Perform additional underground duties including:
- Pre- and post-blast inspections
- Tele-remote setup and safety barrier installation
- Stope loading and blasting per plan
- Haulage and service installations
- Ground condition monitoring and hazard response
- Accurate shift reporting
Requirements
Candidates must bring substantial underground mining experience and strong equipment handling skills, with additional certifications considered assets.
- Minimum 4 years of underground production mining experience
- High proficiency in scoop operations and tele-remote systems
- Experience with Sandvik AutoMine, LHDs, and haul trucks preferred
- Production drilling experience is an asset
- Valid First Aid certificate and blasting ticket (Canada)
