Dexterra Group, in partnership with Shared Spirits through their Horizon North joint venture, is seeking Sandwich Makers for the West Red Lake Gold Project at Madsen Mine in Ontario. This role is based in a remote camp setting and includes full accommodations, meals, and a private room with cable TV. Travel is provided from Winnipeg, Red Lake, and surrounding regions. Employees benefit from a 2-week on/2-week off rotation, Wi-Fi access, and onsite gym and laundry amenities.

Responsibilities
Sandwich Makers are responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches for the bagged lunch program while ensuring kitchen cleanliness and food safety.
- Prepare sandwiches and specialty items per standard recipes
- Rotate food products to reduce spoilage
- Maintain sandwich inventory levels
- Clean workstations including surfaces, fridges, fixtures
- Inspect food appearance and presentation
- Coordinate daily sandwich setup
Requirements
Candidates should have relevant culinary experience and be physically capable of meeting kitchen production demands.
- Experience in large-scale cooking or sandwich prep preferred
- Previous sandwich-making in camp or hotel environments an asset
- Food Safe certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
- Valid photo ID for site travel
- 2/2 rotational commitment required

The Madsen Mine is a historic underground gold mine located about 10 kilometers southwest of Red Lake, Ontario. First established in 1938, the mine has had multiple periods of activity and has produced over 2 million ounces of gold throughout its history. In 2023, West Red Lake Gold Mines acquired the mine and its 47-square-kilometer property, with plans to restart production and revitalize the site. The company is actively preparing for a production mining and milling ramp-up in the second quarter of 2025. Key developments include completing a pre-feasibility study and advancing site readiness activities such as the installation of a 114-person camp and the commissioning of a primary crusher. These efforts are part of a larger strategy to reestablish the Madsen Mine as a significant contributor to the Red Lake gold district.
