Agnico Eagle Mines is seeking a Process Plant Superintendent for the Hope Bay project in Nunavut's Kitikmeot region. This fly-in fly-out role involves overseeing the construction, ramp-up, and future operations of a new process plant, including production, maintenance, metallurgy, and assay lab functions. The position supports a flexible rotational schedule (7/7, 10/10, or 14/14), with flights provided from Edmonton and Yellowknife. Accommodation and travel are included. This leadership role oversees all aspects of the new process plant construction and operation:
- Collaborate in process plant engineering and construction planning.
- Lead ramp-up activities and operational readiness.
- Manage process plant operations, maintenance, metallurgy, and lab functions.
- Oversee staffing plans, training, and team development.
- Prepare annual budgets and control KPIs across the department.
- Ensure safety compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to strategic decisions and cross-department coordination.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must meet the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
- 5-10 years of leadership experience in large mining process plant operations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in multicultural work environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English with successful completion of SPEEXX language assessment.
