Hauling Technician - Mount Milligan Mine - 7x7 Camp Rotations
Centerra Gold is hiring Hauling Technicians / Rock Truck Operators for the Mount Milligan Mine (MTM) near Fort St. James, British Columbia, a conventional truck-shovel open-pit copper and gold mine with a 60,000 tpd concentrator and copper flotation processing plant. This camp-based role runs on a 7 days on / 7 days off (7x7) rotation with 12-hour shifts, and includes comfortable camp accommodations featuring private washrooms, TV, Wi-Fi, an onsite gym, and recreation options. The position focuses on safe operation of an Articulated Rock Truck, along with equipment cleaning, basic upkeep, inspections, and accurate daily reporting while meeting mining department targets for safety, environment, quality, cost control, production, and continuous improvement. Centerra provides free bus transportation to and from site from Prince George, Fort St. James, and Mackenzie, and offers a competitive $36.10–$41.45/hr wage, plus annual incentive bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including insurance, pension matching, wellness accounts, travel allowance, and professional development.

- Operate articulated rock trucks safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre- and post-shift safety inspections
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform minor maintenance
- Report mechanical issues promptly to supervisors
- Adhere to traffic patterns and avoid hazards
- Support Mining department targets for safety, environment, and production
Requirements
Candidates must have heavy equipment or haul truck experience and meet physical, safety, and licensing qualifications.
- 2+ years operating haul trucks or heavy equipment preferred
- Experience in open-pit mining is an asset
- Strong adherence to safety protocols
- Physically fit to lift up to 50lbs and access equipment
- Valid Canadian driver's license with clean abstract
- Ability to work independently and within a team
