The Mine Projects Technician will play a key role in supporting underground mine engineering and infrastructure planning:
- Develop level designs and ventilation layouts for underground mining
- Conduct weekly ventilation surveys and generate reports
- Update mine rescue and escapeway prints for safety compliance
- Assist with sea lift orders for ventilation materials
- Maintain standards for mine services and support infrastructure planning
- Assist with detailed infrastructure prints, including sumps, CRF setups, and egress routes
- Collaborate with consultants on engineering designs (fuel bays, compressors, maintenance shops)
- Design and implement QAQC programs for CRF operations
- Develop and support stope backfill infrastructure and designs
Requirements
Applicants should possess strong underground mining experience and technical qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mine engineering or related technical roles in underground mining
- Diploma in Mining Engineering or a related technical field
- Proficiency in engineering and mine design software (e.g., Ventsim, Deswik)
- Comprehensive knowledge of underground mining safety, regulatory, and environmental standards
