Responsibilities
Mill Operators will ensure safe, efficient operation of the process plant and associated systems:
- Operate and monitor crushing, grinding, leaching, cyanidation, gravity concentration, CIP, and tailings circuits
- Adjust parameters via DCS and locally to optimize plant throughput and recovery
- Perform equipment inspections and troubleshoot issues to maintain smooth operations
- Implement Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) and report hazards or incidents
- Collaborate with supervisors, operators, and maintenance teams
- Support continuous improvement of recovery and operational efficiency
- Document production, safety incidents, and equipment performance data
- Respond to plant emergencies and adhere to environmental and safety protocols
Requirements
Applicants should bring hands-on experience and technical understanding of gold processing operations:
- 3-7 years of mineral processing experience, preferably in gold plants
- Mill construction experience (minimum 2 years) is considered an asset
- High school diploma required; technical certification in mineral processing is an asset
- Red Seal Millwright certification is a strong asset
- Familiarity with crushers, pumps, mills, and process control systems (DeltaV or similar)
