Centerra Gold is hiring Labourers, Site Services for the Mount Milligan Mine near Fort St. James, British Columbia, a camp-based open-pit copper and gold mining operation with a concentrator and copper flotation processing plant. This 7 days on / 7 days off rotational role supports site facilities and daily operations through repairs and maintenance assistance, snow removal, trash removal, fueling, water services, inspections, and general site support for tradespeople and equipment operators. Responsibilities
The Labourer, Site Services supports Mount Milligan’s camp and operational infrastructure by assisting with repairs, maintenance, site services, and day-to-day field support tasks in a remote mining environment.
- Assist Site Services tradespeople with repairs and maintenance to structures and components of site facilities.
- Perform site snow removal, trash removal, fueling services, water services, inspections, and general operational support.
- Provide a variety of site services including basic building repairs, moving items, and building scaffolding.
- Assist Site Services equipment operators with field support activities.
- Support fabrication and product enhancement tasks as required.
- Assist with preventive maintenance programs and field and equipment repairs.
- Use computers and assist with sign making as part of general site support tasks.
- Actively participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Candidates for this camp-based site services labourer role should be physically capable, safety-focused, and able to support remote mining site operations with strong communication and dependable work habits.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Previous experience in a mining, heavy industrial, or remote site environment (considered an asset).
- Proven track record of safe work practices.
