ATCO Frontec is hiring a General Kitchen Helper for its remote camp in Menihek, NL. The role involves assisting with basic food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and ensuring proper sanitation of kitchen equipment. The position follows a 14 days on, 14 days off rotation with 12-hour shifts. Camp accommodations are provided. The General Kitchen Helper will support food service operations by maintaining cleanliness and assisting with food preparation.
- Ensure the dining area and service line are clean and sanitized.
- Assist with basic food preparation, including vegetable and snack preparation.
- Clean kitchen, general equipment, and facility areas such as tables and floors.
- Inspect equipment and food supplies on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Ensure workstations are fully stocked and maintained.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment Management System requirements.
- Safely operate all kitchen equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have kitchen experience and a strong work ethic.
- Valid Food Safe Certificate.
- Experience working in a camp, kitchen, or restaurant environment is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently with or without supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Final candidates must pass a criminal record check, drug, and alcohol test.
