Bouchier, an Indigenous-owned leader in integrated site services based in Fort McKay, Alberta, is hiring a full-time Journeyman Electrician for its CNRL Horizon Camp Maintenance division. This camp-based role operates on a 7/7 day shift rotation and includes flights and accommodations depending on site needs, with benefits beginning after 3 months of service.

Responsibilities
The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in camp facilities while ensuring safety and compliance.
- Install, test, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions
- Inspect systems for safety and code compliance
- Read blueprints and code specifications
- Use multimeters, megohmmeters, and other testing tools
- Install and connect power cables, circuit breakers, transformers
- Lockout electrical systems
- Support other trades when required
Requirements
Candidates must be certified electricians with experience in residential or commercial projects and possess valid safety credentials.
- Alberta Journeyman Electrician Ticket or Red Seal Certification
- 4+ years of related experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- High School Diploma preferred
- Familiar with Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication and team skills
- Valid CSTS and OSSA or CSO
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Safety-conscious and adaptable to various work conditions

Horizon Oil Sands Project
The Horizon Oil Sands Project, located approximately 70 kilometers north of Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada, is a significant oil sands mining and upgrading operation owned and operated by Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL). The project encompasses surface mining of bitumen, extraction, and on-site upgrading to produce high-quality synthetic crude oil (SCO). Since its inception, Horizon has undergone several expansions to enhance production capacity and operational efficiency. As of 2024, the mine produces approximately 250,000 barrels per day of SCO, with plans to increase capacity by an additional 195,000 barrels per day. The project is a key contributor to Albertas energy sector and plays an important role in Canadas oil production.
