Responsibilities
The Haul Truck Operator will ensure safe and efficient material hauling within an active mining and construction site. Key responsibilities include:
- Operate haul trucks to transport materials safely and efficiently to meet targets.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report deficiencies to supervisors.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and log maintenance issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members using radios, hand signals, and other methods.
- Participate in daily safety toolbox meetings and comply with company safety standards.
- Operate equipment in all weather conditions including rain, fog, and winter environments.
- Assist with other construction-related duties as directed by supervisors.
Requirements
Candidates should demonstrate a strong ability to operate heavy equipment in remote mining or construction environments. Requirements include:
- Experience operating haul trucks, wiggle wagons, or related heavy equipment considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience working in remote environments with limited access to resources is an asset.
