De Beers Group is hiring a Fuel Truck Operator for the Gahcho Ku� Mine in the Northwest Territories on a 14/14 fly-in/fly-out rotation. Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Maintenance within the Mine Operations Department, this entry-level permanent role focuses on field fueling and lubrication to minimize equipment downtime across the open-pit operation. The position emphasizes safe work practices, coordination with crews and shops, accurate task recording, and adherence to company policies while supporting reliable production in a high-performance mining environment.

Responsibilities
This role ensures safe, timely fueling and lubrication of mobile mining equipment to reduce downtime and support continuous pit operations.
- Lubricate and fuel equipment in the field in alignment with production schedules.
- Meet pit appointments and deadlines to service units on time.
- Identify mechanical issues and report promptly to the Light Vehicle Shop.
- Operate, clean, and maintain the dual-axle lubrication/fuel truck.
- Perform all assigned work safely and in a well-managed, compliant manner.
- Communicate with crews to coordinate activities and provide status updates.
- Comply with safety, environmental, confidentiality, and code-of-conduct policies.
- Participate in safety audits/meetings and contribute meaningfully as a team member.
- Complete administrative tasks by accurately recording all fueling/lubrication data.
Requirements
Qualified applicants bring mobile equipment fueling experience, strong safety focus, and the ability to work rotational day/night shifts in open-pit mining.
- Preference for members of Deninu Ku�, Lutsel K'e Dene First Nation, North Slave M�tis Alliance, Northwest Territory M�tis Nation, T???ch? Government, or Yellowknives Dene First Nation, and NWT residents.
- Heavy Equipment certificate or equivalent on-the-job training/experience.
- Minimum 1 year operating mobile heavy equipment, specifically dual-axle fuel or lube trucks.
- Pass driver competency and Air Brake test.
- Meet "Authorized User" requirements for high-risk activities (fall protection, confined space, mine pit activities).
- Knowledge of oils, basic mechanics of heavy mobile equipment, and routine maintenance.
- Ability to work safely on day/night shifts in a rotational FIFO schedule.
- Strong time management; ability to stay on schedule with minimal supervision.
- Accurate record-keeping for fuel/lube dispensing quantities; clear site-wide communication.
- Experience in mining (open pit preferred).
