Responsibilities
The Electrician will manage and maintain electrical systems critical to mining operations and infrastructure:
- Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical components of the mine and camp
- Install and service underground substations and pump stations
- Diagnose and repair electrical and control system issues
- Read and interpret electrical prints and schematics
- Collaborate with operations teams to improve system performance
- Test and troubleshoot control and automation systems
- Assist in instrumentation design, testing, and commissioning
- Update electrical schematics and participate in toolbox safety talks
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have strong technical expertise and the ability to work in remote environments:
- Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification
- Industrial experience in electrical repair and maintenance, preferably in mining
- Ability to read and work with electrical schematics
- Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code and industry best practices
- Experience working in remote, fly-in/fly-out camps is an asset

The Goose Gold Project is a high-grade gold mine development in Nunavut’s Back River District, currently under construction by B2Gold Corporation. Situated approximately 520 km northeast of Yellowknife, the Goose Project is designed as a fly-in/fly-out operation with a seasonal winter road for bulk supplies and a permanent airstrip for personnel transport.
