The Electrician Artisan will ensure mobile mining equipment remains safe, functional, and reliable. Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct job risk assessments and prepare safe work plans.
- Complete electrical safety training, including Arc Flash & Shock protocols.
- Interpret Arc Flash labels and safety documentation.
- Participate in safety audits and incident reviews.
- Maintain and repair electrical/electronic systems on mobile equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot faults.
- Report and document electrical defects and repairs accurately.
- Order and install components per specifications and standards.
- Assist in incident investigations and hazard reporting.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Valid Journeyperson certification in Electrical.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with heavy mining equipment.
- At least 12 months of surface mining field experience.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Experience with Komatsu equipment is an asset.
- Skilled in reading complex electrical diagrams.
- Proficient with MS Office and SAP systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Successful completion of medical and criminal background checks.
