Responsibilities
The Operator, HEO2 (Blaster) will carry out safe and efficient blasting operations. Responsibilities include:
- Perform rock fragmentation using explosives per site protocols
- Handle, store, and transport explosives in line with safety regulations
- Connect and detonate charges using detonators and primers
- Ensure full compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Complete blasting logs, inventory records, and documentation
- Collaborate with technical and operational staff
- Assist in related tasks as required in the blasting and drilling cycle
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements for the role:
- Professional training or certification in blasting or related field
- Recognized Blaster certification
- 2-5 years of blasting experience in mining or construction
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Ability to pass criminal record check
- Knowledge of safety protocols and explosive regulations
- Comfort working in remote outdoor environments with environmental extremes
